Blue Lollipop Media

Research

I like this is a ad because it's colourful, interesting it looks futuristic and very professional. I like these types of advertisements as it reminds me of transformers. The animation it's self is very clean, I would like to incorporate this standard of work in our advertisement. I think what this advertisement is trying to communicate is that that are up to date in with what's new. That they are competing with competition like it's a race.

I like this advert because it has an anime style to it, it catches my attention and makes you want to find out what the advert is about, I was surprised when I saw the ending because of what it was advertising. What I think this advertisement was trying to communicate is that Nike's shoes are so amazing that wearing them takes you to a hole new level to the point where you feel you have have super speed and the power to take down bad guys.

I like this advert because it is very hard to work out what the advert is about until the very end. I like these types of adverts because it holds your attention making you want to know what it's about. I would like to use this type of advert in out work as I think its the most effective method.
I think this advert is trying to communicate that the information is so overwhelming and there is so much to do and find. The use of the eye turning into a robot eye could be to imply that you could have to be a robot/ cyborg to take in all the information.

Our advertisement is going to be on -

Blue Lollipop Media Ltd uses digital advertising to directly target bus passengers with specific advertising at specific times of the day and week. With a 3 year contract to install screens for advertising inside the Plymouth citybus fleet of 170 buses, Blue Lollipop media launched the first network of 10 buses on sunday Th of September 2011. This service will carry approximately 80,000 passengers every 4 weeks.
Two windscreen displays are fitted centrally within the aisles on each bus and are connected to and on-board ruggedized computer.

Looking on the Plymouth College of Art website I found it pretty boring, i would of expected it to be bright bold eye catching but it's dull basic refined and simple, when laying out important information this is ok and understandable but the home page doesn't give the College and Fun exiting and artist look.

Areas to research; Blue Lollipop Media, Plymouth college of art.

I did a Questionnaire
The questions included -

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear Plymouth College of art?
In this question the main response from the people in the room is - Art
Art can be a range of things but it generally means being creative and this is what the college is looking for, people who enjoy being creative and who have a creative spark this can be included in our advertisement.

What comes to mind when you hear Interactive Media?
The main response I go to this question from the people in the room is - TV based answers
People think that media is the mane part of our course but really interactive is the main part.of it is interactivity, i think this is a common misconception and we should make people who watch this advert aware that there is more to it then just T.v.

What comes to mind when you hear Interactive Media & game arts?
The main response I got from this question is -Games & graphics
I think people assume that are course is all Game based fun I think that we should get the point across that it is some much more interesting then just games, or people who don't game may be put off by this course i think that we should show these people that non gaming people can also enrol in this course.

Have you ever heard of this course before?
The main response I go to this question from the people in the room is - yes
This was a pointless and unhelpfully question to ask the people in my class.

If so where did you hear about it?
The main response I go to this question from the people in the room is - Online
most of there people on my course found out about this course online and this is where and how they enrolled.
What age range do you think this course is aimed at?
The main response I go to this question from the people in the room is -16-22
this helps to narrow down our target audience for our advertisement

Do you think the Art College advertises its courses well?
The main response I go to this question from the people in the room is - Not really
From this response I feel that we need to put a lot more effort into how the courses on the college are advertised. If it wasn't for talking to friends I would of never known about  this course, I think this is a shame as the course Is so interesting and I think that we should let as many people as possible know about this course and the college as a hole.
